Just like Tuscany

diningroomWe went to Buca's for dinner when we spent a weekend in Cape Cod. We have traveled all throughout Italy and we love Tuscany. Dining at Buca's made us feel like we were back at my favorate restaurant in Italy! As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the hostess who we found very friendly. The dining room was warm and romantic and we could smell the foods the second we walked in. Even though the place was absolutly packed to the max!...the service was great and personal! Our waiter was very attentive, as well as the hostess who kept checking in on us. The busboy was also great. The wine list was super and very extensive! We found each dish that we ordered to be exeptional. We had the bruscetta appetizer and it was sooooooooo good!!! It was just as good, if not better, than any bruscetta that I've ever had in Italy. For dinner I had the Veal Rosa and my husband had the Sol. We split the "Tuscan Wedding Cake" for dessert and it was amaaaazzzzinnggg!! Don't miss that! The staff continued to be hospitable even after we paid and we were about to leave.
Over all, everyone at Buca's seemed to be having a great time, both the customers and the staff - and we sure did!! We are going to the cape in 2 weeks just to go back to Buca's!!! If you are on the cape, don't miss this restaurant!!!

Authentic Tuscan cuisine

Authentic Tuscan cuisine makes this a must for connoisseurs of Italian food andIMG_0142 wine. Two veal dishes, one cooked in red wine, balsamic butter and sun dried cherries and roasted tomatoes, the other in white wine with lemon, capers and parsley, top the mouth-watering offerings. The Cicciucco, the establishment's signature seafood stew, features a sumptuous blend of cherrystones, mussels, scallops, calamari, shrimp and the day's fresh catch in a rich tomato sauce. The wine list, recognized by Wine Spectator, includes some 30 wines by the glass and includes offerings from many small Italian vineyards. Dinner is served from 5 p.m. seven days a week, year-round.

The North End of Cape Cod

A little bit of Boston's renowned North End here on Cape Cod. The cozy dining room is ringed with high-backed booths, and the cathedral ceiling is accented with exposed beams draped in grapevine garland. Buca's has an Italian themed menu that's not about spaghetti and meatballs - think, rather, pasta tossed with arugula pesto and roasted red peppers, or with goat cheese, green beans and pancetta. Seafood items include crispy cod with pepper gremolata served with whipped potatoes with mascarpone, and shellfish in Tuscan tomato sauce. Appetizers, too, have a true Italian flair - imagine Parma prosciutto stuffed with Gorgonzola and crustini with foie gras.
